November 19, 2013

Today we did our regular announcements and apparently there was a basketball game that lasted 120 hours! When the announcements were finished we talked about some new jobs that would be done like once upon a time, sports, and more.
Next we discussed our essays at about 1:20. A simple thing to remember is: "K-I-S-S Keep It Simple Stupid" (Mark Finkenbeiner).
At 1:30 we got worksheets #6 and #7, both of which, along with the rest of the packet, are due on Friday. We have to read both the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence to see where Locke's, Montesquieu  Rousseau's, and Voltaire's ideas are hidden.
Later, the class discovered that Descartes created the coordinate plane and geometry. thanks a lot Descartes! He also thought that everything we see, hear, feel, etc. may not be real. "I think, therefore I am" (Lauren Nuchols). Thanks a lot Descartes!

Interesting SWEN article for the day:

We totally need a presentation at our school. Texting while driving is EXTREMELY dangerous.
