At 1:22 we started talking about Zhang He and other explorers, including briefly mentioning Columbus though we did not go into much detail. The Chinese had much larger ships and were already exploring by the time Columbus set out. The difference was that they did not capture anyone.

Keep this in mind: There is still a form of slavery. In China, there is a net around the main Apple company production business. That's to make sure the miserable people don't jump off to their death.
Any idea where all the spices you guys eat come from? Almost all spices come from India.
Speaking of India, a lot of our food is thanks to other countries. After all, North America did not automatically grow everything and still doesn't.
